Our fairground is firstly a passion and secondly a business. All of our attractions have been lovingly restored by us with a fine eye to detail. The final presentation at your event will be carried out with the same passion.

We are owner operators of one of the largest collections of vintage fairground equipment in the country, many of our ‘competitors’ do not actually own any equipment at all, they are merely agents, when you work with us you are ‘dealing direct’ and know exactly what will be supplied.

We regularly supply our attractions for a very wide selection of public events as well as weddings, parties, corporate entertainment as well as advertising, film and television shoots.
No. 2 Gallopers
The ride spent many years entertaining visitors to Walton-on-the-Naze Pier, this was followed by few years at an indoor attraction in Great Yarmouth. Built by Savages of Kings Lynn, this historic ride joined us in 2015. Since then an extensive restoration programme has brought it up to ‘our standard’.
About us
Horton’s Steam Fair was established in 1990 by James Horton and since then has been supplying vintage amusements for private hire and public events, both in the UK and abroad.

Some of the finest traditional amusements in the country, our amusements have become renowned for their quality and presentation. While all were built many years ago, a continuous programme of maintenance keeps them in perfect condition and in compliance with all current health and safety legislation – we have a perfect safety record.
We offer a friendly, personal service with fully trained and uniformed staff.

We can attend any type of public event and regularly are seen at county shows, steam rallies and fairs. We are also available for private hire and have supplied amusements for television and film work, wedding celebrations and corporate fun days.

Any of our rides can be supplied individually or in any combination. We can also source additional vintage rides, games and stalls to provide anything up to a full size old time fairground.
